RAUK & CO’s Founder
Anette Cantagallo’s sustainability journey began on the Swedish island of Gotland, whose spirit of resourcefulness she brings to her work in aligning with nature and people. Trained in textiles at Carl Malmsten's Capellagården, she learned to honor materials as the DNA of product creation.
Anette holds a Master’s in Fashion and Technology from London College of Fashion, where her postgraduate project repurposed Loro Piana deadstock fabrics in tailored pieces crafted with retired Savile Row tailors.
Her 20+ year career spans Sweden, UK, New York, and California with roles at companies including Gemic, Rodebjer, House of Dagmar, Stella McCartney / Kering, Calvin Klein Performance, and AspenX. She has also pioneered materials-first brands like VYAYAMA and ASK Scandinavia. Anette’s vision is to amplify nature through sustainable innovation in fashion, activewear, outerwear, and uniforms.
Why RAUK?
The name RAUK & CO is inspired by the rauks of Gotland, Sweden—impressive natural limestone formations that have withstood the test of time (400 million years), symbolizing resilience, strength, and the enduring power of nature. Much like these ancient stones, RAUK & CO focuses on creating sustainable and lasting impact in the materials and design industries (namely fashion).
The name represents our commitment to building durable, nature-aligned solutions in sustainability, using innovation to shape resilient and meaningful changes for brands and their supply chains. The “CO” in the name reflects a collaborative approach, bringing together experts, brands, and communities toward a common vision of environmental stewardship and business excellence.
